Lol, Airport Con (PITCON) 2007!

A few of you may remember me talking about AIrport Con (aka PITCON) 2007 - or might have even been there! Well what happened was - after AC, I happened to run into a ton of furs at the Pittsburgh Airport, and since I had my Horatio head as carryon, when we got past security, I fursuited a little! Afterwards we had our "Supersponsers Lunchin" at TGI Fridays where we met up with "Guests of Honor" Michelle Light and Dark Nastasha. Well our "Chairman", Scorch, scorchedone (the one sitting in front of me) finally got this picture to me so as I promised - I'm posting it!

So I took the two dogs to the dog park today. It was a really beautiful 95o day and there were lots of people and dogs there.

I think this was Qoppa's first time ever going swimming because she followed a dog off the pier into the lake and then proceded to splash around like she was drowning. She eventually evened out, but still isn't too fond of the water. Annee was in the water pretty much the entire time, I kept telling everybody that I am pretty sure she is part fish!!

Today I found out there are two things about Qoppa that annoy me - one is that she doesn't come when you call her ('course, I'm not sure she knows her name entirely - I mean she's only had it for a little over a week) and the other is that she tries to climb on other dogs backs while they are swimming!! This poor Golden had no idea what was going on as his head kept going under water as Qoppa kept trying to climb on him. I eventually had to go into the water myself and pull her off. Now she only goes swimming on a long leash until this problem is fixed.

I also bought her a gentle leader to wear on walks. Pulling is unacceptable to me and the choke and pinch collars are useless on her. The leader really seems to work - so I hope it'll get her to learn to stop pulling. The people at the apartment dog park thought she was wearing a muzzle and couldn't understand why such a nice dog was wearing one, so I had to explain to them that it was a gentle leader.

So that's pretty much all that happened today other than taking a big long nap after dinner. Now neither of us can get to sleep again - but the dogs sure don't seem to have a problem with that - they are both passed out right now ^_^
